How a ball is made
Every ball passes through the same hands-on stages, from the hide to the final stamp.

Leather selection
Hides are selected and tanned for the right thickness, grain and colour before they reach the cutting table.

Cutting
Covers are cut into quarters or halves for cricket balls, and panels for footballs, keeping the grain consistent.

Core making
Cricket-ball cores are built from layered cork and rubber; footballs are fitted with bladders for shape and bounce.

Hand stitching
Craftsmen stitch the seams by hand with waxed thread — the stage that decides how a ball plays.

Shaping & pressing
Balls are pressed and rolled to bring them to a true, even shape before finishing.

Finishing & stamping
Colour, polish or lacquer are applied and the brand is stamped in gold or silver foil.

Inspection & packing
Each batch is checked and packed in boxes or cartons marked to your order.
